The Hiatus (semilunaris)!
Its funny how medical terms pop in the head.
From starting the blog as a bored medical student, I only lasted a few blogs before the interest fizzled out. Now, I sit to write after almost 6 years where in I passed out of medical school and completed my residency. A 'long hiatus'!
Post residency, I have taken some time off to explore my country, travel, explore the medical world outside the institution I worked in and figure out the path ahead. I travelled in southern India, mainly Kerala and now in Chattisgarh, central India. The exploration now brews a storm in my head. Right from the medical practice, the way of life, the people, the priorities, the goals of people; the sheer diversity of all the aforementioned raises pertinent questions about the path ahead like never before. Shouldn't I have figured things already? Probably, but also as one goes through different experiences and meets new people, the ground below shifts and makes your compass flicker into a new direction.
The ruminations in the posts that follow would talk about the 'storm in the head' and the various other things that I have picked up over the years.
Aarambh hai prachand!
